QuizzesNext
Overview
There is a new Quizzes.Next tool with major enhancements that is now available for use at the course level. For the next several months Quizzes.Next will complement the current (Classic) Quizzes tool until there is feature parity between the two. Thus, for most faculty there is no need to rush into Quizzes.Next.

Comparing (Classic) Quizzes and Quizzes.Next
See Quizzes vs. Quizzes.Next Feature Comparison Links to an external site. for a complete list of features so far.
Highlights
Classic Quizzes and Quizzes.Next are both classified as assignments but there are differences:
✅ A Classic quiz is denoted by a rocket icon [1] and Quizzes.Next is associated with the Assignment icon [2].
✅ You will only find Classic Quizzes [1] in the Quizzes index page [2]. Again, note the rocket icon.
✅ Create a Quizzes.Next quiz from the Assignments index page [1] by clicking the + Quiz/Text button [2]
✅ The Quizzes.Next interface is clearly different, although it includes a rocket icon! Because Quizzes.Next is an external tool you click the Return [1] button to navigate back to your main course menu.
✅ Quizzes.Next Points
The ratio of points earned in the quiz multiplied by the points possible in assignment details determines the value in the Gradebook.
Thus if a student answers questions 2, 3, and 5 correctly, then their Gradebook score would be (1 + 1 + 6)/10 x 25 or 20 points. If an instructor would like to assign 50 points to the exam, then the points in [3] would be changed to 50.
